Your gift keeps the doors open
Peak of Hope Shelter runs on local generosity. Financial gifts are the most flexible support we receive — they cover the utilities, repairs, and staffing that a wishlist cannot.

Questions about giving
- Is my donation to Peak of Hope Shelter tax-deductible?
- Yes. Peak of Hope Shelter is the public name of The Logan County Homeless Shelter, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 05-0540239). Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and every donor receives an acknowledgment letter for their records.
- Where does my money actually go?
- Undesignated gifts cover the highest current need — utilities, food, emergency repairs, and staff who do case management. You can also choose a designated fund listed on this page.
- Can I give monthly?
- Yes. Recurring gifts are the most useful kind of support because they let us commit to costs like heat and water with confidence. Call (937) 935-4292 and we will help you set one up.
- Can I donate items instead of money?
- Absolutely. Our current needs page lists exactly which items we need and in what condition.
