Volunteer questions

How do I start volunteering at Peak of Hope Shelter?
Send the form on this page or call (937) 935-4292. Staff will talk with you about your availability and which role fits, then walk you through any screening required for that role.
Is a background check required?
It depends on the role. Any role with direct guest contact requires screening; sorting donations or outdoor projects generally do not. Each role below lists its requirement.
Can my group or church volunteer together?
Yes. Group projects are some of our most useful days. Tell us your group size and preferred date range and we will match you to a project.
Is there a minimum age to volunteer?
Age requirements vary by role and are listed with each opportunity. Younger volunteers are usually welcome when accompanied by an adult.
